A Tribute to John Williams— An ‘Out of this World’ Evening!

The Fort Collins Symphony presented A Tribute to John Williams, to a packed house on April 14th at Timberline Church.

The orchestra wowed the audience with this prolific composer's catalog of well-known works including music from films such as "Star Wars," "E.T.," "Raiders of the Lost Ark," and "Schindler's List." Audience members, some of whom were dressed as their favorite Star Wars or other movie character, were transported to another galaxy by the spectacular sights and sounds of the Symphony in combination with the video on the two giant screens on either side of the stage.

Maestro Kenny and three other vocal performers capped off the evening with a whimsical four-part vocal performance.

Symphony patrons also had the opportunity to bid on original fine art produced by young local artists. These unique pieces were purchased through a silent auction and went home with lucky program attendees. Proceeds from the silent auction benefit the Symphony's ongoing commitment to education.

This annual pops concert was one of the best-attended and most successful in recent history. This one will be hard to top, but the FCS always loves a challenge!
